"Keep the Knowledge, Lose the Pain." - ART®
Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®) is a unique therapy technique that works beyond traditional talk therapy. It is a brief and effective therapy.
ART® uses the power of rapid eye movements to allow voluntary changes in the client's mind along with other well-established therapies to help the client process distressing memories or experiences that have been causing distress in their lives. The client is guided by an ART® therapist to replace the negative or traumatic images in the client's mind with a more positive image of their own imagining of their choosing.
It is a "Talk Less, Body Awareness, Create Your New Story" bottom-up type of therapy that helps alleviate and/or eradicate intense physical or emotional sensations/reactions that are causing one's distress.
You do not have to share details of your trauma or difficult memories that you do not wish to share to receive treatment using ART®. You are in control of the session. You get to create your new story and replace the old story that's been causing the stressors or triggers, while the role of an ART® therapist is to be your guide and support you through your ART process.
ART's unique procedural approach is helpful as a stand-alone treatment, and also for clients who have been receiving traditional talk therapy but have reached a point where they find themselves "stuck" or not seeing the progress that they want to see. If you have a therapist whom you are seeing for traditional talk therapy, you are welcome to contact Ni to schedule a stand-alone treatment using ART® alongside your talk therapy.
Clients who receive treatment using ART often experience the outcome of "Keep the Knowledge, Lose the Pain," as in they will still have the knowledge of the experience or memory, but they will no longer be "stuck" or experience previously stored intense physical sensations and emotional reactions in their present life. Clients often feel better in as few as 1 to 5 sessions.
ART has been recognized as an evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma and depression.
Some issues ART has helped with but not limited to are anxiety, depression, phobias, panic attacks, performance anxiety, family issues, co-dependency, grief, job-related stress, self-image, sexual abuse, relationship issues/infidelity, post traumatic stress (PTS), addictions/substance Use, and dyslexia anxiety.
